History

March 2002: TEK4 started as a technical consultancy business working with Aero and Land Based Gas Turbine manufacturers in England by Jason Duffin.

Autumn 2002: TEK4 develops 5-axis CBN grinding technology using DMG milling machines. A total of 3, 5-axis CBN grinding machines were supplied with this technology.

2003: Developed new trunion style tilt turn table for use on the CBN grinding machines.

2004: Developed EDM seal slot machining cell, with CAD/CAM electrode manufacturing in cell.

2005-2006: Developed, built and installed four innovative twin head STEM machines.

2006: Developed first TEK4 5-axis FHD EDM machine.

2007: Developed first TEK4 5-axis LASER drilling machine. Launched new 3g FHD EDM machine. First two TEK4 5-axis FHD EDM machines manufactured.

2008: First TEK4 5-axis FHD EDM machines manufactured.

2009: Fourth TEK4 5-axis FHD EDM machine manufactured. Began negotiations with Research Tool to partner with TEK4 to market and build TEK4 equipment in the USA.

2010: Four ex-Raycon Engineers pool their resources to make the partnership a reality.  Demo machine and all IPR are transferred to TEK4-USA mid Michigan.  Development of optional electrode handling and various other customer driven options are ongoing at this time.
